Ptelea Clark

Ptelea was born and raised in the Portland area and has lived in the Pacific Northwest her whole life. From learning to read by playing MS-DOS games when she was 4 to managing private cloud services on her home server in her 30s, Ptelea has had a lifelong fascination with computers. With an IT veteran as a father, technology was a constant and ubiquitous presence in her home growing up, and a constant source of enjoyment (and occasionally frustration).

After spending over a decade as a manager of a small office, and three years as an assistant manager of a local restaurant, she decided to move her career down a different path. Leveraging her own personal interests and hobbies in tech, Ptelea devoted her time to studying in spring of 2024. By summer, she’d secured her CompTIA A+ and Network+ certs, and started hitting the pavement looking for opportunities in IT. In the fall of 2024, Ptelea received the offer to join Elevate and was excited to bring her passion for technology and problem solving to the Help Desk team. Ptelea continues to work on personal tech projects in her leisure time and is always looking to learn, both on and off the job.

Outside of her ongoing projects, Ptelea is a VHS preservation enthusiast, an avid watcher of old movies and anime, and an off and on reader of comics and manga. She enjoys cooking, spending time exploring the Oregon coast, and hanging out in arcades and repertory cinemas.
